About: Found as a baby, raised by a tracker/scout til he was ten. Left at a Chantry orphanage where he got a reasonable education til he was 16. Left and rejoined the man who’d left him there. They traveled and worked across a good chunk of Thedas, never staying in one place long. Went on to travel on his own after his friend was killed at the Crossroads over a game of Wicked Grace. Noon hunted down the men who’d done it and then disappeared. He’s been seen fighting in Ferelden’s Civil War (for who specifically is up for debate and he won’t say himself) and Denerim during the Blight. Most recently became a regular in Kirkwall markets where he sold fresh meat and pelts, occasionally joining traveling parties of merchants and nobles to act as a scout or additional security. Assisted Kirkwall guard during the Qunari invasion.
A massive man with a quiet stride and an easy humor. Unrefined in his manners and straightforward in his speech, he’s nonetheless a very patient man. He’s well read, though he’s never been in a position to own more than one or two books at any given time.
Reading is a source of enormous comfort to him. The idea of having access to a library, even a small one, has been a far off dream, the silly, wishful kind you don't share with anyone in particular.
He doesn't put much stock in collective identity and writes off most of that as "city talk", but he still draws a pretty clear distinction between "Nobility" (obnoxious and overrated, but usually the people who give work so a necessary evil) and "everybody else" (normal). He has a soft spot for an underdog (also dogs and Ferelden in general, aside from the part where it did kill his friend). While he doesn't have any interest in fighting anymore, he doesn't have any particular moral quandaries about killing or violence. He's just very enamored with the idea of not having to do it as an occupation, not having to worry about death occupationally sounds very relaxing.
